Executive Team



Rao Mandava

Executive Chairman

Rao is a seasoned executive, having spent 25 years with Westinghouse Electric Company, serving as the Vice President of their Automation Division. He was instrumental in winning $2.5M in U.S. Navy funding and an additional $1M in industry partner funding for developing the company’s InteliWare products. He is the primary inventor of the seminal patent, an industry differentiator, held by Inteligistics. Rao currently serves on the Board and is the founding investor of Mobile Aspects, Inc., a provider of automated RFID based tracking systems in hospitals. Prior to his years at Westinghouse, he worked at the Boeing Company in logistics and engineering positions. He holds M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.

Gary Fleming

CEO

Gary brings over 30 years of business and technology experience in the food industry. Having facilitated or chaired over 30 global best practice committees for different sectors within the food industry, he is very familiar with the paint points of both the buyer and seller, and every entity in between. Having worked for GS1 and IFPA, and in collaboration with most every food industry trade association, he has been an integral part of creating and evangelizing global technology solutions and industry standards to address these paint points and more. 

Eric Kithinji 

VP, Operations & Engineering

Eric is responsible for Inteligistics solutions design including hardware design and integration. He is the architect of most of the Inteligistics ecosystem of solutions and ensures high level of accuracy and reliability. He is also our customer facing solutions expert and has travelled vastly throughout the United States, Mexico, South America, and Europe implementing solutions and training customer personnel. He is an inventor on several patent applications in the areas of sensors and cold chain processes. Prior to joining Inteligistics Eric worked with Cummins Power Generation. He holds a master’s degree in Engineering from Minnesota State University.

Lawrence Mallia 

VP, Digital Transformation

Lawrence brings over 10 years of experience in the technology sector. He is responsible for ensuring projects are completed in time with full customer satisfaction. He has deployed systems throughout United States and South America. Prior to joining Inteligistics Lawrence worked as part of the Pratt Industries Information Systems Team, where he helped build and maintain networks, databases and servers for  large production facilities. 

Joe Garcia

Director of Sales, Retail Supply Chain

Joe Garcia brings nearly 40 years of supply chain technical experience to Inteligistics. Starting his career with Dole Food Company and Del Monte Tropical Fruit Company, he has since focused on deploying technology to enhance efficiency and quality assurance in the perishable supply chain. Before joining Inteligistics, Joe served as a Regional Sales Manager at DeltaTrak.

Roger Byford

Director

Roger held technical and managerial positions at the British Broadcasting Corporation and Westinghouse Electric Corporation before founding Vocollect, Inc. in 1987. He was the Chairman of Vocollect from its founding until the company was sold for $190 million to Intermec in early 2011. As Chief Executive Officer for most of the company’s history, he successfully raised funds from angel investors, institutional venture capitalists, strategic investors, mezzanine debt lenders and a private equity firm. Roger was a regional E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year winner in 2004, and the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association’s Outstanding Entrepreneur for 2006. He holds numerous U.S. and U.K. patents and a M.A. in Electrical Engineering from Cambridge University.

Suneil Mandava

Director

Suneil Mandava is the founder and CEO of Mobile Aspects. Exposed to the potential for improving inefficient and time-consuming processes within the healthcare industry early in his career, Suneil founded Mobile Aspects to address these issues through radio frequency identification technology (RFID) data capture and tracking. Now, Mobile Aspects collects and analyzes this information to create innovative clinical and financial improvements that help healthcare providers improve patient safety and deliver more efficient patient care. Suneil is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Gerard D’Amore  

Director

Jerry brings decades of Ag industry experience to his role on the company’s Board of Directors with specific responsibility for Strategic Corporate Development. He develops and implements corporate strategy for global growth and industry relations. He represents Inteligistics at national and international industry and government events and leverages his corporate relationships and knowledge to enhance Inteligistics’ reach, product supply and service opportunities. He has over 40 years of global experience in farming, greenhouse production and operations, product flow and quality chain management. He held executive management positions in Ag majors including Driscoll’s, Dole and Chiquita Brands. Past several years he offered consulting services to Agriculture industry for new business development, quality assurance systems, productivity and profitability improvements.

Jeffrey McDaniel

Director

Jeffrey is an Executive in Residence at Innovation Works where he works with the management teams of start-up companies to identify and to address critical business issues including intellectual property creation and protection, international product development, marketing, sales, fundraising, management recruitment and growth planning. Prior to joining Innovation Works, Jeffrey was in charge of business development and strategy for the emerging technology R&D portfolio for Westinghouse Electric Company. Earlier, he held marketing, strategy, development roles at the Ex One Company, a global manufacturing technology incubator. There, he led the successful commercialization of Imagen, LLC, a manufacturer of dental implant and bio-medical devices through 3D printing. Previously, Jeffrey was an associate at Reed Smith, LLP and served in the United States Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer. He holds a B.S. from the United States Naval Academy and a JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Tom Bryan

Adviser

Former CFO from Taylor Fresh Foods, a $4B+ fresh produce processing business. Significant experience in Treasury, Financial Management and Administration. Current Board Member for True Leaf Holdings, Ratto Brothers, Vegetable Growers Supply and Latitude 36 Foods, with additional for-profit and nonprofit board experience over 25 years. Tom holds a Bachelor degree from Duke University and MBA from Wharton School of Business

Gopi Mandava

Adviser

Gopi is an observer and contributor to the board of directors meetings of Inteligistics. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT & Telecom industry with expertise in emerging technologies in the fields of SCM, Nanotechnology, AI/ML, AR/VR and Communications. He works in a leading Telecom Company as a Director, Business Architecture. Gopi holds an MBA from R.H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, an M.S. in Engineering from Penn State University and a Management Certificate from Georgetown University.

Ed Aeillo

Adviser

Ed retired from H.J. Heinz as Vice President of Global Insurance following a distinguished forty-three year career where he held many positions in Finance and Treasury. While at Heinz, Ed was responsible for the establishment and administration of both direct writing and reinsurance captives in onshore and offshore domiciles including Bermuda, Dublin, and Vermont. He remains the Chairman of both the Vermont and Dublin captives and currently participates in many community related activities including the Pittsburgh Cargo Security Taskforce for which he is Chairman. Ed received his B.S. in Business Administration and his MBA in Finance from Duquesne University.

R. Paul Singh

Adviser

Dr. R. Paul Singh is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Food Engineering, University of California, Davis. Professor Singh’s research involves computational modeling of food processes to improve industrial food manufacturing, resource (energy and water) utilization in the food industry, and modeling of food digestion for improved bio accessibility of nutrients in the human body. Professor Singh is a fellow of the Institute of Food Technologists, the American Society of Agricultural Engineers, and the International Academy of Food Science and Technology. He has published 14 books and over 270 refereed papers. Dr. Singh is an elected member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering. He is a recipient of the Kishida International Award and Farrall Young Educator Award (ASABE); Distinguished Food Engineering Award (DFISA); Nicholas Appert Award, International Award and Samuel Cate Prescott Award for Research (IFT). Currently, he serves as an Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Food Engineering.
